Tomás Seraceno Artist visits garden

The children today were met with a giant balloon floating in the garden this afternoon!  Artist Tomás Seraceno flew a hot air balloon through the garden, part of his Aerocene ‘cloud cities’ project. Aerocene is a series of air-fuelled sculptures that will achieve the longest, emission-free journey around the world: becoming buoyant only by the heat of the Sun and infrared radiation from the surface of Earth. The sculpture floats without burning fossil fuels, without using solar panels and batteries; and without helium, hydrogen and other rare gases.  More can be found about this amazing artist at http://tomassaraceno.com/projects/cloud-cities-flying-garden/
