Nursery Heads visit St Nicholas to learn about the science of food and cooking
This week, St Nicholas welcomed Nursery heads from the Kensington Area to the school to attend an evening on food, flavour and the science behind fussy eaters. Dr Rachel Edwards-Stuart, a renowned Food Scientist and Flavour Expert, has trained as a chef in Paris, gained a PhD sponsored by Heston Blumenthal and lectured around Europe. She spent a few hours with us explaining the difference between taste and flavour, why some of us don’t like coriander and showed us some practical food experiments that children are bound to enjoy. The event was an opportunity for Nursery heads to meet Mrs Walker and for her to talk about the future plans for the school.
