Water leak in Exhibition Road

Thames Water has found a water leak in the basement of a property on Exhibition Road. Unfortunately this means they have to dig up our newly finished granite paving outside nos. 7-9 Exhibition Road. We are liaising with Thames Water to ensure the works and reinstatement of the paving is carried out as quickly as possible. Thurloe Place at the junction with Exhibition Road will be closed on Wednesday 10 August 2011 at 9pm so we can lay anti-skid material. The road will be re-opened by 6am Thursday morning. Now that the work at the southern end is complete, we have introduced parking restrictions in the area. The southern end of Exhibition Road and Thurloe Street are both restricted zones and parking is not permitted at any time. We have been issuing warning notices to drivers for the past few weeks and from next week and will start taking action against any illegal parking in the area.
