St Nicholas Preparatory School is a co-educational day school with around 270 children aged 2 years 9 months to 11 years situated in the heart of London, overlooking Hyde Park. At 23 Prince's Gate there have been Montessori Nursery and Reception classes since 1946, offering a child-centred approach to learning.
In 1998 the school developed its facilities to offer a broad based programme of education as an independent school, preparing pupils for entrance examinations to all the leading senior schools.
Since 1999, when I joined the school, it has been my pleasure to be part of this exciting and thriving community with its dedicated staff and excellent facilities. The school is governed by a joint venture of the Montessori St Nicholas Charity and Cognita Schools Ltd, both of whom have shown tremendous generosity and support for the aims of the school.
