Early Years

The Montessori Curriculum is followed from 2 years 9 months to five years in the Nursery and Reception Classes.

Our Early Years Montessori classrooms aim to promote a calm, relaxed and harmonious atmosphere. All materials and furnishings are designed to appeal to the child and are sized to facilitate individual development. Emphasis is very much on children developing skills independently, learning through experiences and activities that are self-chosen and uninterrupted.

In the integrated curriculum we also offer Music, Dance, Art, French and Physical Education, all taught by our own specialist teachers. In our Reception Classes (aged 4+) we begin to combine the Montessori philosophy with the National Curriculum and the early years foundation stage.
