School Curriculum

The school's curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum but is supplemented and extended with a range of extra subjects and activities. Some of these are outlined below.

Music has a high profile at the school. In addition to class lessons, there are opportunities for one-to-one instrument lessons, and a choir and an orchestra which perform in the various concerts and productions throughout the school year.
The PE department begins its specialist teaching in the Nursery classes, making full use of our gymnasium and garden facilities. For children in the Lower and Upper Schools there are lessons in Gymnastics, Creative Dance, Athletics, Swimming and Games. Indoor lessons take place at the nearby Imperial College Leisure Centre, with full use of the facilities. Outdoor lessons take place in neighbouring Hyde Park.

Science is a very popular subject with the children. Lessons are taught on a practical basis and take place in the Science Lab with our specialist Science teacher. Art and Design is also taught by a specialist teacher. Children work on a range of Art, Design and Technology projects over the course of the year, producing a very high standard of work.
There are also good facilities for Information Computer Technology (ICT) with several banks of computers available and a brand new computer suite.
